FAQ

What it is to be a FriendP1020881

The EVS volunteer’s principle role is to bring friendship and companionship to our older members by providing social engagement opportunities at our community hall and also within the local community. Some of the activities involved in this role: Visiting the older members in their homes or hospitals, organising social activities, assist with our events, parties, day trips, office administration and helping out in our Charity shop Ritzy Rags. Volunteers should bring their own skills and abilities to the project, and can use these skills to develop individual projects and should make the most of their experience of volunteering with Friends of the Elderly.

Time Commitment

We ask any potential EVS Full Time Volunteer to be available to stay for at least one year. This allows enough time for the older members, and you to build good friendships.

What is the age range?
