Friends of the Elderly: Tax Relief on Donations - How Does It Work?
Make Your Donation Go Further at No Extra Cost to You!
Friends of the Elderly is authorised by Revenue to claim tax relief on donations of €250 or more. This means that if you are a taxpayer and have donated €250 in one calendar year we can claim an extra 45% in tax relief, at no additional cost to you. All we need is your signature!
Do I Qualify?
To allow us to claim tax back on your donations, you must meet the following criteria:
- You have donated €250 or more within a one-year period to Friends of the Elderly in the past four years.
- You pay sufficient income tax and/or capital gains tax for the year. Friends of the elderly claiming this rebate will not affect your tax band.
How Your Signature Helps!
By signing a simple form, you enable Friends of the Elderly to claim 45% tax back on donations over €250. It won’t cost you a cent more and won’t affect your tax credits or band. This process helps us stretch your donation even further, allowing us to do more for older adults who need support and companionship.
