Becoming a volunteer isn’t difficult, but it is a process.
Get involved in your community, make a difference to an older person’s life and have fun doing it!
The selection process is mainly to ensure the safety of the older person we support, but also to give you and Friends of the Elderly time to find the right volunteering opportunity for you.
We will try to ensure that you have a positive and rewarding experience with us. There are a variety of different ways to get involved from one day events, to full time, year-long volunteering on our European Voluntary Service programme.
If we have a suitable role, you will be invited to an informal interview so that we can explain the role fully, answer any questions you may have and ensure that we have appropriate role allocation. Most roles will require Garda vetting and reference checking which we would secure on your behalf.
We would love to hear from you.
